چکیده
Background. Insufficient night-time reduction of blood pressure (BP) and night hypertension are associated with an increased risk death regardless the average daily BP. The study BP profiles is very relevant in patients different age categories due to high thrombotic complications.
Aim: was determine peculiarities ambulatory monitoring (ABPM) indices middle-aged elderly hypertensive depending on profile.
Materials methods. ABPM indicators were determined 125 who divided into 2 groups. 1st group (n=82) – (45-59 years old); 2nd (n=43) (60-74 old). In groups subjects distinguished: "dipper" "non-dipper".
Indices using a portable recorder ABPM-04 (company "Meditech", Hungary). Measurements performed every 15 minutes during day (from 6 22 hours) 30 at hours). We following indices: systolic (SBP) (mm Hg), daly diastolic (DBP) Hg); maximal SBP DBP Hg). index (DI) also calculated − percentage decrease compared daytime % DI SBP, DBP, BP.
 Results. baseline level dipper significantly higher by 49,6% corresponded 155,9±12,0 mm Hg (p<0,001) 50,4% 97,3±6,1 (p<0,01). Similar results observed values which than control 21,5% (p<0,05) equaled 110,0±3,6 21,3% amounted 176,3±23,5 23,6% 117,0±19,2 (p<0,05). non-dipper 50,8% (p<0,01) 157,1±12,9 27,4% equal 176,9±24,0 (p<0,05), 63,8% 106,0±1,0 44% 124,3±6,8 too. surveyed only from corresponding indicator lower 21,4% 91,5±0,7 23,1% 93,5±0,7 group.
Conclusion. Non-dipper predominates structure rhythm (62,8% versus 37,2%). decreases 11,1% reliably middle age.

Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring in the Elderly
The incidence of hypertension is high in the elderly and is present in 2/3 of the patients older than 65 years. Prevalence can reach 90% in patients older than 80 years. The presence of isolated systolic hypertension (ISH) is characteristic of this population. However, the prevalence of hypertension by ambulatory blood pressure monitoring (ABPM) is not well known. In this study, we analyzed the...

ABPM constitutes a valuable tool in the diagnosis of RH. The identification of white coat RH and masked hypertension (which may fulfill or not the definition of RH) is of great importance in the clinical management of such patients. Moreover, the various ABPM components such as average BP values, circadian BP variability patterns, and ambulatory BP-derived indices, such as ambulatory arterial s...

OBJECTIVES This study compared clinic and ambulatory blood pressure measurement and the reproducibility of these measurements in older patients with isolated systolic hypertension (ISH). PATIENTS Eighty-seven patients aged greater than or equal to 60 years with ISH on clinic measurement were followed in the placebo run-in phase of the Syst-Eur trial. METHODS Clinic blood pressure was define...

This issue of Hypertension includes an article by Bur et al1 that focuses on the comparison between clinic and ambulatory blood pressure (ABP) values in patients with moderate to severe hypertension. The primary goal of the Bur study was to obtain a classification of hypertensive patients, based on the ABP values corresponding to the clinic blood pressure (BP) values that have been used to stag...

The results of ambulatory blood pressure monitoring (ABPM) in children after kidney transplant were analyzed to ascertain any alteration in circadian BP profile, degree of hypertension, and efficacy of therapy. The data were also compared with casual BP data and left ventricular mass index (LVMI). We have examined 30 patients (17 male, 13 female), mean age 16.1+/-3.6 years after kidney transpla...
